News May 2006 Pneumapress® Completes Filter Upgrade at US Copper Refinery Pneumapress Filter Corporation has completed the upgrade and re-installation of an automatic pressure filter at a US copper refinery. The automatic pressure filter, first installed in 1994, is used to wash and dewater a highly corrosive and abrasive precipitate stream. After 12 years of successful operation the filter was removed from service and shipped to Pneumapress for a complete overhaul and upgrade. The upgrade involved implementing several mechanical, process and control advancements made in Pneumapress technology since the time of the original installation. This work was performed during a scheduled outage period and the successful re-installation was completed in April, 2006.
